About the Founder

Nayona Nag is currently a 12th-grade student pursuing History, Political Science, Maths, English and Computer Science. She is interested in history, archaeology, political sciences, environmental conservation and sustainability, gaming, animation tech and music.

She is an avid writer and a thrice winner of the Queen's Royal Commonwealth Essay Writing Competition, she is a finalist in essay writing competition in Northeastern University London, a scholarship recipient for her Immerse Essay in the essay writing competition and has also received a Highly Commended acknowledgement from Minds Underground Essay writing competition. She has written numerous articles in the student's newspapers of The Times of India and Hindustan Times and has published my book named "The Tiger Diaries" which she wrote when she was age 11 for generating interest on Tiger Conservation in India for young children. She was awarded The Budding Writer of the Year award in 2021-22. Being a part of the Senior School Student's Council as The Senior Environmental Science Prefect in her school, she established this initiative "Stories of Our Soil" which is a campaign to raise awareness of indigenous peoples’ lives and vulnerability in India, particularly considering the current global climate crisis. Her pre-collegiate project and podcast at Stanford University on Student Activism in the Modern World was recommended for the insightful comments on the student mental health in India. 

In August 2024, Nayona also published her second book "The Splendours of Hampi & The Vijayanagara Empire", a glimpse of the architectural and cultural zenith of an empire that once dominated South India and traded precious gems with other major civilizations of the world. The book is now available on online platforms including Amazon, Flipkart and BlueRose One

She also plays the Violin and has cleared Grade 5 Trinity Western Classical Violin exam. She began playing the violin at the age of 7, and joined the junior orchestra of the Delhi Orchestra when she was 9 years old. Today, she serves as the conductor of the junior orchestra there and has performed three times with the Delhi Orchestra since, in their senior orchestra. In 2017, Nayona also joined her school orchestra. She has also been featured on LITKIDS in June 2020, where she was a featured player in a video, and provided advice and demonstrated how to play the violin for beginners.
